A growing baby during pregnancy needs protein to build the cells of its body, including the brain. The baby grows more rapidly during the second and third trimester, thus is an adequate protein intake vital for healthy fetal development. Experts recommend 75-100g of protein per day. Protein also helps the mother’s breast and uterine tissue to grow during pregnancy and supports the need for increased blood supply.

Collagen helps restore hair back to health that can sometimes take a beating due to pregnancy and postpartum hormones. Collagen also helps with skin elasticity (helping to prevent stretch marks) and can help tighten the skin postpartum. Collagen also supports skin, joints and muscle health. 1 Frozen Banana
1 Serving Collagen Protein

2 Cups Rolled Oats
Mixed Seeds - Dried Fruit - Coconut Flakes - Cinnamon - Pink Salt
2-3 TBSP Honey
2-3 TBSP Coconut Oil
Mix and bake for 15-20min or until Golden Brown



2 cups oats
1 scoop protein
1/4 cup desiccated coconut
1/2 tsp baking powder
5 tsp Sweetly (sugar substitute)
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup mixed berries (if frozen, thawed completely)
Pinch of salt

Mix together and into a greased loaf tin for 20mins @ 190°C


2 TBSP Peanut/ Almond Butter
2 tsp Honey
1 tsp Breakfast Seed Mix
1 Scoop Yummy Mummy Collagen Protein
1/4 Cup Instant Oats

Roll into balls and sprinkle with desiccated coconut. If the mix is too crumbly, add more peanut butter or a bit of milk.


2 Scoops YML Collagen Protein
2 TBSP Peanut/Almond Butter
2 TBSP melted Coconut Oil
1/2 TSP Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
3 Eggs

Mix, Bake and Enjoy!
Top with Maple Syrup and some Berries because why not?



Mix together:
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 scoops YML Collagen Vanilla protein powder
1 cup oat flour (just blend up oats till they are very fine)

In another bowl mix:
3 egg whites
100g plain yoghurt
1 cup grated or shredded carrots
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 tablespoons maple syrup or sweetener of choice (honey, golden syrup etc)

Add wet to dry and mix. Transfer to greased muffin pan.
Into oven 180°C, start watching them from 15mins, should be good at around18mins.
Recipe makes 6.

For the (not-so-healthy-but-why-not) frosting:
With a hand mixer or blender:
Mix 3 tablespoons butter (room temp) with 1 tub cream cheese. Gradually add 1/2 cup of powdered sugar (or sweetener of choice) and 1/4 tsp vanilla extract.



Throw together in a blender:

1/2 Cup Strawberries
1/2 Cup Blueberries
2 Scoops of Vanilla or Strawberry Protein
1 Small Banana
380ml Milk or Water

Blend together.
Adjust the liquid to the consistency you desire.
Top with Breakfast Seed Mix and Fresh Berries- Enjoy!
